Check Out Some Hope for Wildlife Videos!The Sullivan's Pond geese who spend their winters with us here at Hope for Wildlife have returned to their summer home at Sullivan's Pond in Dartmouth. As usual, they excitedly, and more importantly vocally, announced their return. ____________________________________________________________________ It’s baby season! CTV News met with staff member Brianna, who shares some of our newest arrivals and provides some insight on nature’s newborns. ____________________________________________________________________ This porcupine was admitted to Hope for Wildlife after she was bit by a car. She has wounds on her back and her abdomen, and when we x-rayed her to see if she had any broken bones, we found more bones than we counted on! This mom welcomed her baby porcupine into the world just last week! ____________________________________________________________________ Release day! Just over a month ago, this barred owl was admitted after being hit by a car. He had some head trauma, which we treated, and fortunately he made a full recovery! Now he gets to go back home. It's always the best part of the job, even if it's usually over quickly!
